How to ignore hidden column in MS Excel input in pentaho jobs? -


in source extracts having 16 columns default.

  1. in first file having 4 hidden columns between sitename , campaignname.
  2. in second file having 2 hidden columns between sitename , campaignname

  4. so how make single pentaho job files loading. please ? thanks.

small number of files: seem have 2 files, easiest swallow 2 excel files respective format, use select values keep relevant columns , merge them rest of transform.

it possible pdi merge 2 (or more) input flow, requires input have same metadata (same columns, same names, same type,...), done select value.

large number of files:

if have large number of files, have read them without column name (i.e., no header) calling columns a, b, c, d,... filter out coumns not interested in, , change metadata.

for last may use metadata injection step.
