In the WordPress API is there a way to set the width of the post/page container? -


in wordpress api there way set width of post/page container? or solely theme developer - decide , have total control on width of post/page container?

usecase; plugin allow users create sliders , place them in posts/pages. want allow them create full-width sliders take full width of page.

i know there global $content_width thats media max widths think. there similar variable post/page width? way plugin can set global when shortcode called , slider content inserted.
