log4j2.xml - How to exclude category -


i have 2 asyncloggers inside log4j2.xml file. both have same prefix of esb.api-vehicle-registration-v1.

    <!-- api specific groovy files -->     <asynclogger name="esb.api-vehicle-registration-v1.get-registration.web-service-response-validate.groovy" level="off"/>      <!-- api specific log messages -->     <asynclogger name="esb.api-vehicle-registration-v1" level="debug"/>

is possible change first asynclogger definition use wildcard so...

    <asynclogger name="esb.api-vehicle-registration-v1.get-registration.*.groovy" level="off"/>

i'm asking because have log output number of *groovy categories exclude.

i did try didn't seem work.

i create normal logger configuration entries categories want exclude. wildcards not work. instead, can specify category prefix , categories prefix filtered log level. if subcategories need different log level filter can specify them separately.
