docker machine vs docker for mac -


i have installed docker mac on machine. have pulled repo docker hub, docker run command includes docker-machine ip parameter error, error: no machine name(s) specified , no "default" machine exist. elaborate difference between docker machine , docker mac.

if have docker mac running on machine, don't need docker machine. using docker machine (usually through docker toolbox) run locally if have older mac version isn't supported, isn't case here, or windows machine without windows 10 pro.

the other case need docker machine controlling remote machines or setting multiple nodes locally.
