azure - What action a role must have permission for to access metrics -


in our subscription have notification hubs. , have customized role enable key users manage these notification hubs. these users not able see of monitoring data hubs. when open monitoring tab diagram empty.

so wondering action need give them permission to, in order enable them manage , see monitoring data notfication hubs.

the monitoring charts, autoscale settings , alerts part of microsoft.insights namespace. see article more information: monitoring permissions , custom rbac roles

so need give users following permissions:

  • microsoft.insights/metricdefinitions/read - read metric definitions (list of available metric types resource).
  • microsoft.insights/metrics/read - read metrics resource.
