toggle - True to Disable -

in notifications window in rocket.chat user settings, there toggle slider description "disable notifications." turning on (true) disables notifications.

coming microsoft world, best practice (though it's not followed there either) microsoft states should never have flag turn off.

applying microsoft best practice, slider should reversed. is, should in on state , description should "enable notifications".

is there specific reasoning or rationale having on = off-style configurations? write own applications on = on or true = on, i've seen plenty of applications on = off or true = off, such in screenshot below. me, former makes more sense, both logically , in reading. is, find people tend ask "are notifications turned on" reply of "yes" rather asking "are notifications turned off" response of "no."

are there developers out there prefer having off = true methodology boolean values? if so, reasoning?
