r - Ok to include subset of dataset in package from another package? -


i hope right place ask this, , if not know appropriate.

is legit take subset of dataset package include in own package use in examples?

specifically, want subset dataset in package include particular set of factor levels have been used examples in various publications. way can show package produces known results. original publication did publish cell means, not raw data, contained in package (which states obtained author). make package dependency, seems silly ~70 data points...

as long cite both publication , package source, should ok right?
