Fiddler Not Capturing Traffic from iOS Device after Update -


this morning able capture https traffic on version of fiddler had installed. prompted fiddler update available. clicked "next time" option. after closing fiddler , reopening few minutes later update automatically installed (v4.6.20172.31233, 64-bit). following update, not able take traces ios device. on work computer capturing https traffic iphone monitor mobile app.

it should noted i'm unable capture traffic or visit web pages on iphone when going through ip , port 8888 setup fiddler. seems data blocked (even when i'm not attempting capture https trusted certificate).

i have attempted few things:

  1. went through these steps (which had done months ago setup fiddler), , didn't resolve situation: http://docs.telerik.com/fiddler/configure-fiddler/tasks/configureforios

  2. i checked tools > options , seems configured same previously.

  3. i double, triple , quadruple confirmed iphone's ip address , port correctly matching fiddler shows when hover mouse on "online" icon. confirmed i'm on same wifi network on both laptop , iphone.

  4. i removed trusted certificate iphone, not download new 1 because when go ipv4.fiddler:8888 page not load. "safari cannot find page" , neither can chrome (from iphone). fiddlermachineip:8888 loads on laptop browser, not iphone browser. (i didn't post full http:// links on post because have new stack overflow account , won't let me yet)

  5. i downloaded certificate plugin ios once more.

  6. i reset fiddler root certificate selecting tools > options > https tab > actions > reset certificates.

  7. i attempted step 4 above again, no success

  8. i closed , reopened fiddler multiple times between each step restart it, no success.

  9. restarted laptop , iphone (because why not?)

do have suggestions else can try? appreciated. thing changed version of fiddler. after that, attempted run through steps above. i'm in situation cannot download certificate trust on iphone. don't know preventing me doing step.

edit: reinstalled fiddler , went through setup pages. didn't seem fix situation. phone reason not load page necessary download certificate (ipv4.fiddler:8888)

try checking certificate's full trust settings @ settings > general > > certificate trust settings. make sure do_not_trust_fiddlerroot enabled full trust.
